▎精油简介
真正薰衣草又被称作「真实薰衣草」或高地薰衣草。每年 5 月开花,平均生长海拔约 800 公尺以上。耐旱,开紫色花穗。名称则是由拉丁文「Lavare」演变而来,代表「洗涤」之意。古罗马时代,人们以薰衣草沐浴,相信能洁净灵魂与身体。
原产于地中海沿岸,藉着罗马人扩大帝国版图,后来逐渐遍布英国,与欧洲北部,两千多年来,被广泛运用在医疗和食用,现在为欧洲传统医疗法以及芳香疗法主要植物之一。所熟悉的薰衣草(Lanvender),在18世纪时,一直被称为“espic”,而在普罗旺斯,薰衣草则被暱称为“epi”,而罗马、希腊人用薰衣草“净化”、“清洁”病房及收容所。
目前发现的薰衣草品种逾 20 种,且有超过上百种的杂交品项,但是在芳疗应用中,最通用的仍是真正薰衣草精油。其丰富的酯类结构相当温和,安全性高,适用于各个年龄层,真正薰衣草都能温柔地给上一臂之力。

主要成分为乙酸沉香酯、萜品烯酯、牦牛儿酯,另外还有沉香醇、松萜烯、柠檬烯、樟烯、ß-丁香油烃、氧化物、醛、香豆素、内酯等多种微量成分。
