▎精油简介

天竺葵(Geranium)，又称为穷人的玫瑰，俗名又叫驱蚊草，是一种可成长约1公尺左右的多年生草本植物。天竺葵的品种很多，市面上约有700多种，许多品种都是观赏用，只有少数可以萃出精油较具代表性就是波旁天竺葵(Pelargonium asperum)跟玫瑰天竺葵(Pelargonium roseum)。

由于种子形状很像鹤的喙，因此属名来自希腊语palargos(鹤的意思)。波旁天竺葵(Pelargonium asperum)的原生地是南欧，波旁是法国中部的一个地名，现在波旁天竺葵主要产地是北非和埃及。其中以东非留尼旺岛产的质量最佳。

▎成分解析

｜主要成分：单萜醇

产自留尼旺岛的天竺葵，典型成分为香茅醇(Citronellol)、牻牛儿醇(Geraniol)、左旋沉香醇(R(-)-Linalool)、异薄荷酮(iso-menthone)、桉叶醇(γ-eudesmol)、牻牛儿酯(Geranyl formate)、玫瑰氧化物(cis-rose oxide)微量等，波旁天竺葵中还含有醛类(橙花醇、牻牛儿醛、香茅醛) 。

｜成分1：香茅醇(Citronellol)

又称「香草醇」，分子式C10H20O，外观是透明无色的液体，具有甜润的玫瑰香气。依化学结构可分为「右旋香茅醇」，多存在于芸香、香茅及柠檬等植物精油中，「左旋香茅醇」，则多存在于玫瑰及天竺葵等植物精油中。

▸Srinivasan S等人发现香茅醇（citronellol）对于肝脏有相关的研究。

｜成分2：牻牛儿醇(Geraniol)

此为反式牻牛儿醇，又称香叶醇、天竺葵醇，香气近似玫瑰，主要存在于香茅、玫瑰等植物精油中。主要用途常当作香水中重要的增甜剂，也是仿造玫瑰气味重要原料，也是作为食用性香料之原料。功效在于具强力抗霉菌及压制疱疹病毒作用。

香叶醇在酸性溶液中会被转化成环状单萜α-松油醇。香叶醇去羟基后衍生出香叶基（Geranyl），也称牻牛儿基，而牻牛儿基焦磷酸（GPP）和牻牛儿基牻牛儿基焦磷酸（GGPP）是胆固醇生物合成过程中的重要中间产物。香叶醇在铜催化剂存在下加热，可以重排成香茅醛，香茅醛经还原可得到香茅醇。

｜成分3：沉香醇(Linalool)

又称枷罗木醇，可以和成各种花香调，在香水工业大量使用。有左旋、右旋及消旋三种光学结构，气味不大一样，可作为香料及合成维生素E、维生素K的原料。
